Floundering onstage is about as fun as a sore tooth, but four seasoned professionals should see this dancing dentist steer clear of public ridicule.
Lindsay Mahlo will dance alongside top dog clogger Sally Larnach and three of her Blue Heelers Clogging buddies at Stars of Orange Dance for Cancer.
The Hill Street Dental representative said the routine is well on its way.
“We’ve had three practice sessions and now the routine just requires a little polishing,” he said.
2015 winner, Sandro Tranfaglia nominated Mr Mahlo for the June 2 event, knowing the Cancer Council was a foundation he would be eager to support.
Eight years ago the young dentist’s mother, Kris Tomlin was diagnosed with a rare type of uterine cancer.
“It was initially thought to be inoperable but she went to Sydney for a fairly new treatment,” he said.
Mr Mahlo’s mum is now in great health and will watch when he attempts to outshine the other stars at Orange Function Centre next month.
“I like music and I like dancing, I’ll be nervous when it comes around but it’s best not too think about it,” he said.
Mr Mahlo has currently raised $1,159 through the support of friends and family on social media – to donate to his fundraiser click here.
Beau Baddock is currently at the top of the leaderboard with $10,065 raised.
The combined total of the performers is $38,427.
